Amazon Fire TV devices are popular among cord cutters and streaming enthusiasts because they offer a great experience without the need for a cable box or satellite. However, some users may find that their device’s cache is slow or incomplete. To clear the cache on Amazon Fire TV, follow these steps:
- Open the Amazon Fire TV app and sign in to your account.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the main screen and select “Settings.”
- Scroll down to the “Cache” section and click on it.
- In the Cache settings, you will be able to manage your device’s cache size and how often it needs to be refreshed. You can also set a time limit for when your cache must be refreshed or cleared. If you do not want your device to refresh its cache automatically, you can choose to disable it by clicking on the “Disable” button next to “Cache.”
The cache is a set of temporary files that your installed apps create during normal function. These cache files efficiently serve your apps with the data they require. However, these cache files sometimes get corrupted, and as a result, your apps suffer from various issues.

On the main screen, select the “Settings” option (a gear icon).
In the “Settings” menu, select “Applications.”
From the options on the “Applications” page, choose “Manage Installed Applications.”
You will now see a list of apps you have installed on your Fire TV device. Here, select the app in which you are experiencing problems. You will clear this selected app’s cache.
On the app’s page that opens, select “Clear Cache.”
Your selected app’s cache files are successfully removed. To clear other apps’ cache, repeat the above process for each app, and you will be all set.
