Google Voice is a great service that lets you make and receive calls from anywhere in the world, but it can be a bit of a hassle to get rid of your number. Here are four ways to delete your Google Voice number.
- Sign In to Your Google Account If you signed up for Google Voice using your Gmail account, you can sign in to your account and delete your number from there. Just click on the “Voice” tab and select “Manage My Numbers.” From here, you can select the “Delete this number” button next to your current Google Voice number.
- Delete Your Number on the Website If you created your Google Voice number using the website, you can delete it by clicking on the “Voice” tab and selecting “My Numbers.” Next, select the “Delete this number” button next to your current Google Voice number.
- Remove Your Number from Your Phone’s Settings If you use a phone that doesn’t have Google Voice installed, you can remove it by going into its settings and looking for an option called “Google Services.” From here, you’ll need to disable all of Google’s services except for Gmail (if you use that). Once everything is disabled, just search for “Google Voice” and uncheck the box next to it. You’ll then need to restart your phone for the changes to take effect.
